Free includes 5 voice minutes a month, 30 translated texts a day, and up to 10 minutes a month of translating voice notes you receive. No card needed.

On Plus and Pro, texts are unlimited, under fair use. Translating voice notes you receive is fair use up to 300 minutes a month on Plus and Pro. Each recording or upload can be up to 5 minutes. If you run out of voice minutes mid-conversation, you can go up to 5 minutes over, so nothing gets cut off. A safety limit stops abuse.

Free use also has an overall monthly limit. If it is reached, free voice pauses until the 1st of the next month.

To OpenAI, through our server, to turn your words into a message or voice note in their language. We don’t store your recordings or messages on our server. Under OpenAI’s API terms, OpenAI does not train on this data by default. See the Privacy Policy.

No. Voice notes are made by AI from your words. Tell people when a voice is AI-made, and don’t use Franca to pretend to be someone else.

No. When you choose a contact with Apple’s contact picker, Franca receives only that contact’s name and the number or email you pick. It stays on your iPhone for your favourites.

Delete the app to remove everything on your iPhone. To delete what is on our server sooner, email privacy@getfranca.app.
